Good evening Joppy-holics. If you look at my page, it seems I have not written anything new here for more than one whole month so I guess I'll greet you all in Internet World an extremely belated Happy New Year. Actually, I wrote something here last month but because of the technical difficulties that occurred last month regarding the earthquake overseas that pretty much f*cked up DSL subscribers' connections nationwide, for some reason, what I wrote somehow disappeared, with only the title remaining. Anyway, because I'm a very studious person and a future valedictorian and Oxford scholar, I might as well talk about school first. This term hosts the biggest academic challenge for the king, with six subjects that have stressed yours truly in a level like no other. These are my subjects: Financial Management, Managerial Accounting, Quantitative Techniques, Market Consumer Behavior (my major), Obligations and Contracts, and the most important of all, Religion and Morality. That's one major, two math subjects, one accounting, one law and a subject that shows how much of an asshole I am according to my actions and motives. So far, I'm getting by but of course, there's plenty of room for improvement.=D I have a dream of being a Dean's lister, but to achieve that, I need more effort, better study habits and an affinity for staying up late to study. I currently have none of the above so I have a long way to go. By the way, I went partying for two straight weeks already. Does that make me a party boy? Life sure is sweet.=)
Oh looky here, it's almost Valentines Day! The market demand for flowers, chocolates and fancy dinners will again be high, giving hard decisions for stores to how much will they discount of their regular prices in order to maximize profit. I don't know how accurate my statement as, but you get the point. I don't expect much for February 14, except couples wearing red and pink, a late dismissal, a jam-packed University Break, and hopefully, no quizzes! I don't have any reflections for Valentines, for the day speaks for itself. But to all you lovebirds out there, all I can say is treat him/her well, stay off the crack, study hard, and don't think about renting a motel! Be like me, studying despite the lack of results, but drug-free and sexual harassment-free. I feel like a role model. Oh wait, I AM a role model. A good role model, in fact. I'm also a very humble person, with a good heart and a drive to succeed in life. I felt good writing that.=D
Staying with the them of college life, the General Elections is nearly arriving. Next month, the blue and yellow and the orange and red will once again clash in fighting for positions in the Student Council and what better way to spicen up the last term than a good ol' political warfare. I'm not naive to realize that the elections will be a very peaceful one, for there is no such thing as a worry-free elections. I'm not afraid to say that because it's almost true. However, I'm not saying that there is a good political group and a bad one for Santugon and Tapat are no perfect groups. But of course, I'm on Santugon's side because I think they focus on what's the most important thing in DLSU: the students. I'm impressed by myself for I managed to gain knowledge about politics but hey, don't put me in a debate because I will go down. Anyway, in our batch, from information I got from different sources, it will be a tough fight. It will be tough for others because all the candidates are formidable, and it takes a closer look to see what any of them lacks. For me, it will be tough because of the people that I will have to turn my back on. When I say that, I'm implying that sometime in our lives, our perceptions become different from the ones that we love. I will have to be frank, and my frankness is sometimes perceived as insensitivity. Aside from that, everyone knows which side I'm voting. So guys, as early campaigning, vote Derecho SANTUGON.=)
